My Teaching Experience in ESciMo

Just a couple of weeks ago, me and my friend, Yonathan, got a chance to teach our own classmates about history in English. Because I have the same interest with Yonathan about the Assasins Creed IV pc game, we agreed to pick that game's main content as our presentation theme, which is piracy.

Finally, our turn had come. Although I felt nervous and unconfident, I had prepared it well. Moreover, it was a chance to show my classmates my ability. In my heart, I said, "THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE!" So, my confident rose up and I began to teach.

At first, the students gave us the attention to listen to what we spoke. Yonathan got the first turn to explain. I was very impressed with his fluency. For me, the way he explain just looked like a college teacher. Maybe it's an inheritance from his father. The slide show that we made is very spectacular and fantastic, thanks to Yonathan.
The teaching session worked well. Both of us spoke fluently, loudly and clearly. We also add some high quality videos from the Assasins Creed game that were also enjoyable. Every time we showed the videos, there was no sound we could heard except the sound from the video. I looked into the students eyes and I saw a pure interest to the videos. That time, I felt very proud of myself. But, after about 30 minutes, some of the students who sat on the last row started speaking on their own. I tried to warn them, but they still wouldn't pay attention. Even so, I forgave them because I know that history lesson is very boring. After we showed the next video, those students began to appreciate our effort again. Last but not least, we had a game about piracy. We gave each of the students a candy. Just like the theme, the winner could take their enemies candies. The game also worked well, although it was better if we had more time.

In conclusion, teaching is more difficult than our thought. To be a great teacher, we must know the right method, so the students can understand what we want to teach. Building a conducive environment also very important too to make the teaching session enjoyable.
That's all  I want to share. Thanks 4 reading!!
