Hello I am Amanda. I will explain about my first experience as a history teacher with my partner, Stefanie. At the beginning, I was nervous because I had to understand the subject matter of the day. Obviously I needed extra time to explore the material but I couldn't learn history well. The thing that made me so nervous is I have to know  the material well in English. Stefanie was so helpful. She is good in English and History lesson. We explained the materials about the coming of VOC in Indonesia by storytelling. But it seemed my students pay less attention to us. I was so confused when Mam Agnes came to our outdoor class and one of our student couldn’t answer the question Mam Agnes gave . At the end of the lesson my partner and I decided to invite our students to play the game. The game was a puzzle of colonial pictorial area of VOC, VOC colonial paintings in Indonesia and VOC heritage building, Fort Marlborough. We put the puzzle pieces in the five different white envelopes and we glued it. We hiden the envelopes in the different area in the school and our students had to find it. It was make us relieved, the lesson was over.
